Why Web-Based VR

What is Virtual Reality

Virtual reality is fully immersive experience, where viewers are able to interact with a fully computer generated environment through sight and sound. Sometimes, there are haptics provided via controllers or haptic gloves.

What is Web-Based VR?

When creating VR, people often go to places like Unity or Unreal to create applications that can be installed in VR headsets and VR-enabled devices. With web-based VR, files live on a webserver. Instead of downloading an application to view the VR experience, users only need a link that can be opened via a webbrowser when interacting inside the VR.

Glitch and GitHub are two main web servers that work great when developing web-based AR.
